About The Position

The Salvation Army, Developmental Disabilities Program (DDP) is seeking a Program Coordinator for their Residential Program. This role involves leading a team and advocating for adults with developmental disabilities to ensure they live with dignity and joy. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring top-tier care and safety, as well as mentoring staff.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree (or 60 credits) with 2 years of field experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook & Word).
  • Comfortable utilizing computers and other technologies including electric health record databases.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and county regulations (6400) for adult developmental disability services.
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage schedules.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, high-quality work environment.
  • Flexible availability based on scheduling and supervision for 24/7 residential operations.
  • Ability to manage and track large amounts of information.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to manage on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and manage schedules.
  • Maintain a positive, high-quality work environment.
  • Ensure top-tier care and safety for program participants.
  • Mentor staff.
  • Manage and track large amounts of information, including medical appointments, financial information, staff schedules, petty cash, and quality surveys.
  • Manage on-call responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with program participants, families, staff, and funding sources.
  • Anticipate needs and initiate solutions that prioritize the health and safety of residents.
  • Support individuals with a wide range of needs, including dual diagnoses and behavioral challenges.
