About The Position

The Program Coordinator is a member of the site leadership team and will oversee the administration and the day-to-day (non-clinical) operations of the site(s). The incumbent supports the Program Manager to establish, maintain and demonstrate the program’s efficiency and effectiveness. The Program Coordinator is responsible for staff scheduling, payroll processing and administration to support and monitor staff compliance with position requirements. The Program Coordinator ensures program conformance with agency policy, accreditation and licensing/registration standards, WorkSafe BC and Occupational Health and Safety standards and ensures program responsiveness to external stakeholders. This is a 35 hours per week position with the requirement to be a part of the After Hours Staff Support (AHSS) roster.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Social Sciences preferred
  • Three years relevant related experience
  • Previous experience working with Community Care Licensed Facilities and/or Assisted Living Residences regulations preferred
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Well-developed communication skills (written/oral) including telephone and interpersonal skills.
  • Can communicate effectively with individuals, families and communities with diverse and complex cultural, emotional and social needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with others including staff, program participants, families and other stakeholders.
  • High level of competency in key components of Microsoft Office applications combined with the ability to learn and adapt to new information technology systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to organize workload, multi-task and set priorities.
  • Employees must declare their vaccination status for COVID-19 and influenza; if vaccinated, documentation must be provided.
  • Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Valid Unrestricted BC Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
