In support of IALR’s economic transformation mission, the Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator plays a key role in expanding high-quality work-based learning opportunities that strengthen the regional talent pipeline and meet employer needs. This role builds strong partnerships with educators, employers, and community stakeholders to ensure students and participants gain meaningful, paid, real-world experiences that prepare them for career success. With a focus on Caswell County, Pittsylvania County, and Danville City, you will help scale internships, job shadowing, teacher externships, and other experiential learning models that directly support workforce development across the region. This is a full-time, grant-funded position with a three-year term that directly supports regional economic transformation through strong education–industry partnerships. In this role, you will have a meaningful community impact by helping students, educators, and employers connect through real-world, paid learning experiences that strengthen the local talent pipeline. The position is based in Danville, Virginia, with opportunities to engage across the broader IALR service region, and offers flexibility through approved flex-location and flex-hours arrangements (up to eight hours per week), based on performance and supervisor approval.
