About The Position

The University of Nevada, School of Medicine is recruiting for a Program Coordinator, Rural GME & Simulation. This position provides operational leadership and day-to-day management for the Nevada Rural Graduate Medical Education Consortium (NRGMEC). This position is responsible for coordinating statewide rural technical assistance services, workforce development initiatives, simulation-based education programs, faculty development activities, and consortium operations designed to strengthen healthcare workforce capacity across Nevada's rural and frontier communities. The Program Coordinator serves as the primary operational liaison between participating healthcare organizations, consortium leadership, consultants, educators, and community partners. The position oversees implementation of technical assistance programs, simulation deployment activities, educational programs, rural hospital engagement efforts, stakeholder communications, and performance reporting activities. Working closely with the Executive Director and Medical Director, the Program Coordinator ensures successful delivery of grant-funded activities, supports development of sustainable workforce solutions, and facilitates collaboration among healthcare organizations, academic institutions, workforce partners, and rural communities throughout Nevada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a master’s degree and one year of related work experience
  • Experience in program coordination or program management
  • Experience in healthcare administration, workforce development, healthcare education, graduate medical education, simulation programs, or a related field
  • Nevada driver’s license
