About The Position

Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Coordinator to serve as the primary point of contact for the Residence Life Office, providing professional, student-centered support to residents, prospective residents, staff, and community members. This position coordinates administrative operations related to student housing, including application processing, occupancy management, resident records, billing and payments, and office operations. The position also supports resident check-in and check-out processes, communicates housing policies and procedures, assists with Residential Life programs and events, collaborates with campus and community partners, and provides responsive customer service that promotes a safe, welcoming, and engaging residential experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of full-time clerical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education from an institutionally accredited college or university
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English and in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Residence Life Office, providing customer service and information to resident’s prospective residents, staff, and community members
  • Coordinate administrative processes related to student housing operations, including application processing, occupancy management, resident records, and departmental documentation
  • Assist with resident check-in, check-out, and transition processes, ensuring compliance with housing policies and procedures
  • Support the communication and implementation of Residential Life policies, procedures, and programs to residents and stakeholders
  • Bill and track housing charges, payments, and serve as the primary point of contact for receiving Residential Life payments
  • Coordinate office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, recordkeeping, inventory management, and maintenance of departmental files and systems
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and assessment of Residential Life programs, events, and initiatives that support student engagement and success
  • Serve as a resource for students by responding to inquiries, resolving routine concerns, and referring complex issues to appropriate staff
  • Collaborate with campus departments and external partners to support housing operations and resident services
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute reports, communications, and other materials related to Residential Life operations
  • Participate in staff meeting, training programs, professional development opportunities, and other departmental activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
