Department: Student Disability Services Job Summary: Plans and coordinates day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a defined, program or set of funded activities. Programs are usually focused to a single purpose, may be scientific, research, educational, or service oriented, and may exist as a subset of an integrated funded program activity. Duties typically include assisting with grant planning and administration, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting. Job Description: Provides specialized support in the development, implementation, and marketing of program function. Serves as a central point of contact between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative matters; assists with seminars, meetings, special projects, and/or general problem resolution. Coordinates activities of support staff, consultants, faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives. Monitors and administers program/project revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program. Writes, edits, and coordinates development of course catalogs, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program. Maintains program/project records, researches information and gathers and computes various data; prepares special and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the Student Disability Services Testing Center.
  • Lead daily Testing Center operations and coordinate the work of Program Coordinators, graduate assistants, proctors, and student employees to maintain consistent and efficient service delivery.
  • Assist with coordinating the daily operations of the Student Disability Services Testing Center.
  • Facilitate a resolution to potential conflicts or issues that arise during test administration.
  • De-escalate mental health concerns that arise during testing and provide immediate care resources if needed.
  • Use professional judgment to determine if the student is able to continue with testing and coordinate the rescheduling of tests if necessary.
  • Serve as the lead operational resource for complex testing situations, accommodation implementation questions, and procedural concerns requiring advanced judgment.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of approved accommodations, testing procedures, testing security standards, and customer service expectations across testing operations.
  • Resolve complaints from instructors and facilitate a solution.
  • Serve as the primary operational resource for faculty regarding complex accommodated testing questions, testing security concerns, and procedural issues.
  • Coordinate the resolution of complex operational concerns involving faculty, students, and testing staff and elevate matters to department leadership when appropriate.
  • Supervise and train proctors, student workers, and graduate assistants.
  • Works with UPD and emergency management services to make our space secure and safe for all students and staff.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for operational questions from Testing Center staff and provide guidance, coaching, and direction regarding procedures and work priorities.
  • Lead special projects and operational initiatives related to testing services as assigned by department leadership.
