This position provides technical and administrative support to the Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities (ECSDC) source assessment team related to communication, scheduling, research, general data analysis and reporting of program metrics. The position is responsible for assessing, supporting, and planning initiatives and requirements related to emerging contaminants source assessment program in North Carolina, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring DEQ meets strategic plan goals related to PFAS, including community public water system source assessment activities such as program development, integration, innovation, issue management, program evaluation, strategic planning, budget development and monitoring, team coordination, communications, program metric reporting and stakeholder engagement.
