About The Position

The MUSC Neuroscience and Brain Health Institute (NBHI3/Neurosciences I3) Program Coordinator will support the daily execution, coordination, and alignment of research, operations, and stakeholder engagement. This role will help ensure the program runs efficiently, meets objectives, and delivers actionable results to partners. This person will report to Neurosciences I3 Co-Directors and the Neuroscience Department Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and other appropriate resources to create operational and project plans that will lead to NBHI3 growth.
  • Serve as liaison and maintain effective communication across multiple Departments, ICCE, and Colleges.
  • Monitor and provide feedback to the NBHI3 leadership on the status of operational/project plans to ensure all are executed within prescribed timeframes.
  • Assist in supporting Finance, Human Resources and other essential functions.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure goals are met.
  • Assist NBHI3 leadership with crafting professional PowerPoint presentations and drafting of communications documents (e.g., press releases, emails to the NBHI community, advertising/marketing materials).
  • Conduct needs assessment and analyses to determine prioritization and impact of various initiatives.
  • Oversee procurement of supplies and equipment.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, town halls, and other large-scale events associated with the NBHI3 that advance MUSC’s institutional mission.
  • Manage all meeting and event logistics, including venue selection, materials preparation, guest speaker arrangements, and participant engagement to ensure seamless execution.
  • Support development of contingency plans for unforeseen challenges and operational constraints.
  • Serve as a Proxy for all NBHI3 related meetings, as needed.
  • Participate in the development of financial/operational Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”).
  • Develop, supervise and/or coordinate preparation, maintenance and execution of all analyses on the performance of KPIs; support operational change with known KPI’s and course corrections.
  • Ensure the integrity/credibility of all analyses presented that drive operational scopes of work and approved projects.
  • Work closely with NBHI3 Leadership to develop realistic projections and plans to ensure optimal performance across all NBHI3 domains.
  • Collaborate as needed with Finance & Accounting departments and other appropriate resources to project accurate budgets each fiscal year, and other times when adjustments are required.
  • Identify performance variances and recommend remedial actions.
  • Work with leadership on budget to actual reports.
  • Maintains, modifies, and develops systems to track data and results.
  • Participate in administration work groups, as requested, as well as other meetings related to I3.
