About The Position

The Data Coordinating Center (DCC) is a multidisciplinary team that supports complex, multi-site clinical research and collaborative learning networks across Seattle Children’s Research Institute and external partners. Our team specializes in the design, coordination, and operational management of multicenter clinical studies, providing expertise in project management, data coordination, regulatory oversight, and research infrastructure. In addition to traditional clinical research, the DCC plays a key role in advancing Learning Health Systems and quality improvement (QI) initiatives, helping clinical networks use real-world data to continuously improve patient care and outcomes. We work closely with investigators, clinicians, and national collaborators to translate data into actionable insights that accelerate discovery and improve the health of children.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years college coursework in Business, Healthcare, Human Services or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years program coordination support experience; including at least 1 year of experience organizing multiple projects through to completion.
  • Successful track record convening and facilitating dialogue with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with: drafting, editing and developing communications and/or reports; data analysis and data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, Marketing, Human Services or related field.
  • Experience working in public health, health care or social services.
  • Experience working on continuous process improvement projects and understanding of lean methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Logistics: Scheduling complex meetings, booking travel, and processing reimbursements.
  • Documentation: Formatting slide decks, editing public-facing LHN information, and assisting with bio-sketches.
  • Operations: Tracking invoices, coordinating budget line items, and routing manuscript drafts for author feedback.
  • Project Support: Coordinating team schedules, ensuring project resources are produced and distributed, and responding to project inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Technical Management: Maintaining up-to-date databases and electronic systems, and utilizing collaborative online tools (MS Project, Wikis) to support distributed teams.
  • Performance Improvement: Capturing data regarding opportunities for improvement and identifying new internal process enhancements.
