About The Position

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located in 1001 Veazey Road Butner NC 27509 - Granville County. This position is assigned to the Department of Adult Corrections - Education Services.

Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of administrative and office techniques.
  • Working knowledge of policies, procedures and precedents affecting program area(s)
  • Ability to practice effective communication in oral and written form.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement policy and procedural guidelines.
  • Ability to learn the purpose of the program's organization including its mission, services, clients and measures of business effectiveness.
  • Skill in organizing workflow and coordinating activities.
  • Skill in modifying processes using applicable technology, web-based data systems and programs.
  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of of others, if applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide learning activities and experiences designed to foster student academic success as well as academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
  • Plan, organize, and present instructional lessons and activities designed to meet needs of students individually, in small groups, and in whole group settings
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and other school personnel regarding students and best instructional practices
  • Appropriately manage student behavior in a classroom setting
  • Perform other duties as assigned
