About The Position

The Program Coordinator is an office-based, non-clinical role responsible for supporting the administrative and operational functions of the Hospice program. This position serves as a key partner to the Director and Clinical Managers, ensuring efficient workflows, coordination of daily activities, and seamless office operations. Responsibilities include managing calendars and meetings, tracking and compiling data, preparing reports, coordinating office-based volunteers, and maintaining scheduling systems. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical or human services setting.
  • 1 year of experience in administrative assistant support role.
  • 1 year of experience in maintaining a database.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative assistant role, preferably in a health care setting.
  • 3 years in healthcare with experience in program/project support or management.

Nice To Haves

  • Project experience.
  • Associate's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Administration or related field
  • Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) or working to obtain CPXP (Preferred within 1 year of hire in CA and WA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director and management team
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, schedules, and office workflows
  • Prepare reports, track data, and maintain administrative systems
  • Support and coordinate office-based volunteers
  • Take meeting minutes and assist with internal communications
  • Maintain staffing schedules, calendars, and training/inservice tracking
  • Provide backup support to administrative staff as needed
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, team members, and the public
  • Contribute to a collaborative, efficient, and high-quality care environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
