About The Position

The Program Coordinator for Outreach and Strategic Enrollment Initiatives, reporting to the Assistant Director of Graduate and Professional Admissions, is a key member of the Graduate and Professional Admissions (GP) Outreach team. This role involves serving as an advanced resource for admissions-related issues, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of admissions policies and regulations, and interfacing with various university programs. The coordinator will utilize a student information database and a CRM system for applicant management and recruitment outreach. Responsibilities include developing and implementing outreach and recruitment activities to support strategic enrollment goals, managing the Campus Visit Program, and planning specialized recruitment events for international students and sponsoring agencies. The role also involves conducting presentations, traveling for recruitment, and participating in special projects such as developing training materials and managing student workers. A hybrid schedule may be approved after training, with a minimum of three days per week in-person work required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experienced, dynamic and engaging public speaker/presenter.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented.
  • Strong customer-service background and ability to track and resolve problems.
  • Experience with office technology, such as Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred, particularly in the field of Admissions/Recruitment, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working with international students.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advanced resource to GP and Buckeye Link staff to resolve escalated admissions cases involving complex application and enrollment issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of international and professional admissions policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations, SEVIS requirements, and distinctions among international visa types.
  • Stay current with Ohio State Graduate and Professional program offerings and application procedures, and interface with programs and processing units.
  • Use a Peoplesoft Student information database to look up applicant information and provide status updates to applicants, admits and matriculants; ensure effective intake of students.
  • Conduct recruitment outreach via phone and email using a Salesforce CRM.
  • Meet with students via virtual and in-person appointments and respond to student inquiries via email and phone.
  • Develop, implement, oversee, and manage Graduate and Professional Admissions outreach and recruitment activities in support of strategic enrollment initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee GP’s Campus Visit Program, offering individual and group campus tours and customized virtual information sessions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and operational liaison for the Campus Visit Program, coordinating logistics and providing customer service.
  • Collaborate with visitors, group leaders, student organizations, campus support services, faculty, program staff, and SEM Marketing and Strategic Communications.
  • Implement on-campus and off-campus recruitment programming designed to cultivate relationships in alignment with the Strategic Enrollment plan.
  • Ensure timely and accurate administration, management, and communication of events, programs and initiatives, and track and report success of these recruitment efforts.
  • Plan specialized recruitment events for sponsoring agencies and prospective sponsored students on-campus and off-campus.
  • Present webinars and serve as liaison and primary point of contact between EducationUSA, Fulbright, other sponsoring agencies, international alumni groups, SEM Marketing and Strategic Communications, the Office of International Affairs (OIA), and program offices.
  • Create targeted recruitment and yield marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct large and small-group presentations and webinars regarding the admission process.
  • Travel to represent GP at recruiting events and programs, both locally and nationally.
  • Participate in special projects to support the needs of the Outreach Team, including assisting with the design, content development and maintenance of the team’s training manuals, job aids, and other instructional materials, templates, PowerPoint presentations and webinars.
  • Serve on university and professional committees.
  • Train and manage up to 3 student workers, employing a comprehensive performance management process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
