About The Position

The Program Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of the Transportation Services. The primary duties of the Coordinator are to oversee the daily business operations for the Western Card Office and Box Office. This position provides exceptional customer service to patrons and event sponsors, supervises and supports front line staff members for the Western Card Office and Box Office, and is the back up to other positions in the unit. The Program Coordinator supports university wide initiatives pertaining to Western’s Card Office and Box Office by working with Western departments as well as visiting members of the public. The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing systems and permissions, hiring, training, and scheduling staff members, reconciling daily Box Office activity, preparing event settlements, and oversees Card Office orders and billing. The Program Coordinator possesses comprehensive knowledge of specific policies and procedures regarding cash handling, Payment Card Industry compliance, and safeguarding personal information.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience working in a fast-paced service environment
  • Ability to regularly work nights and weekends
  • Experience as shift leader and demonstrated ability to quickly make decisions under pressure
  • Attentive to detail and able to synthesize complex processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Cash handling and reconciliation experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficiency with Instant ID, badge and nametag design, order processing
  • Proficiency with Tickets.com ProVenue software
  • Valid driver’s license
