The Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Manager(s) and for providing leadership and coordination of the day-to-day operations within the framework of VON philosophy, policies, procedures, standards and quality management. This role involves acting as a resource for the site, troubleshooting inquiries, providing training and support to volunteers, performing client assessments, maintaining training materials, and performing resource navigation to make external referrals. The position also focuses on building community relationships, ensuring cost-effective client services, developing and implementing program plans, managing volunteers and staff, and maintaining engagement with clients and health partners. The Coordinator functions as a primary support contact and is responsible for tracking and reporting program results, supporting financial accountability, and preparing financial and statistical reports. Additionally, the role includes completing disaster and emergency drills, participating in multi-disciplinary meetings, and practicing in accordance with quality and risk management frameworks and occupational health and safety legislation. Common responsibilities include promoting VON's goals and values, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, abiding by all VON policies, and maintaining confidentiality.
