Program Coordinator-Children's Justice (D4 Cass 111134)
About The Position
The Iowa Judicial Branch is seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator within Children’s Justice for Family Treatment Court in Cass County and other Children’s Justice programs within District 4. The domicile for the position will be located within District 4 which includes Harrison, Shelby, Audubon, Pottawattamie, Cass, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont and Page counties and will be decided by the supervisor. This position will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Family Treatment Court or like programs in Judicial District 4 as well as support the implementation of a Family Resiliency Center in Council Bluffs. This position will manage referrals, intake, and orientation with families, and serve as the first line of communication between families and the court team. This position will collect and maintain accurate case data, serve as a liaison between families, treatment teams, and community service providers, and support program improvement through data analysis and compliance reporting. This position may occasionally attend court hearings, community events, and coordinator meetings both in person and virtually, with availability for evening meetings as needed. The successful candidate will be able to learn and navigate case management systems and program-specific technology to maintain current and accurate records and materials. This position will have the ability to professionally communicate and build relationships with a variety of individuals including parents, judges, treatment team members, and community partners. The successful candidate will have a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to family engagement and keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of case data and compliance reporting. This position will also coordinate training opportunities and multi-disciplinary team functions to support the ongoing development of the Family Treatment Court model. This position will involve travel to other counties within the judicial district as well as occasional travel outside of District 4.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or high school equivalency diploma).
- One (1) year of full-time experience in the administration, operation, or execution of a program.
- Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of 30 semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
- Organizational skills and the ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively.
- Ability to coordinate program activities within prescribed budget parameters.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel.
- Ability to learn and navigate case management systems and program-specific technology.
- Ability to professionally communicate and build relationships with a variety of individuals including parents, judges, treatment team members, and community partners.
- Trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to family engagement.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of case data and compliance reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field.
- Two (2) years of experience in child welfare, mental health, healthcare, family services, or court/legal system.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and online meeting programs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute a program and various projects that support a program's goals and objectives.
