Program Coordinator – Child Care Scholarships
About The Position
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is seeking a Program Coordinator for Child Care Scholarships. H-GAC is one of the largest regional planning commissions in the country, serving a diverse area of 13 counties and over 7 million people. The organization addresses regional issues such as transportation, senior services, job connections, disaster recovery, and water quality. The Program Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for child care providers, monitor inquiries, and resolve high-risk matters related to child care scholarships, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with other team members and external partners
- Ability to perform complex tasks within required deadline
- Experience in contracts and performance management
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
- 3 years of experience with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties
