This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Join our team and lead strategic communications & organizational change for OIT! Core Responsibilities include leading key communications campaigns that support OIT’s highest-priority change initiatives, designing and implementing consistent communication strategies that blend clear, timely OIT messaging with meaningful “voice of the customer” feedback, promoting organization-wide adoption of communication strategies that improve customer understanding and enhance the value of OIT services, producing communication and promotional materials connecting OIT innovation, service delivery, and change management, and ensuring the right communication channels are used for each audience to gather feedback and influence perceptions of OIT’s value. Change Management & Strategic Initiatives involve coordinating high-impact, enterprise-wide transition efforts, including staff centralization and OIT organizational structure changes, creating, maintaining, and executing OIT transition change management plans aligned with leadership priorities, and facilitating collaboration and communication between OIT sections and agency customer communities. Stakeholder Communication & Engagement includes designing, deploying, and analyzing surveys to measure internal culture and external customer perspectives, developing clear, targeted messaging for diverse stakeholders using multiple communication platforms, preparing executive-level, legislative, and public briefings on OIT initiatives and progress, and managing content and messaging for OIT’s internal and external websites. Bridging Technical & Non-Technical Audiences involves developing accessible service inventories, documentation, and communication materials that explain OIT services, features, costs, access methods, and performance metrics, translating complex IT concepts into actionable information for non-technical audiences, and supporting training and workforce development by creating onboarding materials and working with subject-matter experts. Representation & Leadership Support includes representing OIT leadership at legislative hearings, agency meetings, conferences, and public events, responding to inquiries regarding policy matters, program operations, and service quality, and taking on additional strategic projects and assignments as directed by OIT leadership.
