About The Position

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC, headquartered in Dallas, is a regulated electricity transmission and distribution business that uses superior asset management skills to provide reliable electricity delivery to consumers. As a Program Controls Analyst within the Distribution Program Management Office (DPMO) at Oncor, you are responsible for project coordination, scheduling and resourcing oversight, budget forecasting, information streamlining, and internal/external reporting. Oncor’s DPMO is responsible for strategic long-range planning, monitoring, and risk/issue management of the Distribution portfolio of capital projects. With minimal supervision, you are responsible for financial/data analysis related to the processes for overseeing all programmatic work and capital financials associated with each program/project for Distribution Operations. This includes oversight of the annual capital budget and projections reported to senior leadership. This role will be on-site 3-4 plus days each week.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams, and experience managing large programs or initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Access Databases and Tableau.
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, policies, and processes.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Three or more years of experience in project management in operations and/or management of program controls/finances with an electric utility distribution organization is required in lieu of a degree.
  • Two or more years of experience in project management in operations and/or management of program controls/finances with an electric utility distribution organization is required if you have an applicable degree.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Controls Manager with oversight of the annual Distribution Operations capital financial plan and projections throughout the fiscal year.
  • Responsible for financial/data analysis each month of current Distribution projects/programs and assisting with annual and long-range financial planning for these projects/programs.
  • Develop, own, and maintain processes needed within the Controls group to facilitate communication with program managers to accurately plan and project financial and production goals that are aligned with overall operational goals.
  • Responsible for overseeing the current financial status of all assigned projects/programs as it relates to meeting established targets.
  • Maintain and improve relationships and communication with various Oncor work groups to establish accurate reporting of capital spending, forecasting, and risk/issue management.
  • Facilitate the development of desired future-state Distribution capital program planning and support within Distribution Operations.
  • Document essential workflow processes and develop financial models, calculators, and tools for Distribution Operations to provide consistency across all districts.
  • Monitor monthly and annual established control requirements with other Oncor work groups to support Distribution Operations' overall goals.
  • Support and review current work practices within the DPMO to track resource needs for all Oncor programs and report impacts to financial targets.
