About The Position

Prime Solutions Group (PSG) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Program Controls Analyst to support the financial and operational success of its government contracts and internal programs. This role is crucial for providing financial oversight, resource planning, forecasting, invoicing support, and cost management across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with project financial management, long-range planning, and Earned Value or Cost Account Management principles, with a strong preference for experience supporting government contracts and contract administration.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Associate degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience, supporting project financial management, program controls, or government contracting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables, lookups, formulas, financial modeling and the Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government contracts.
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) or Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Knowledge or experience using PowerPivot or Power BI.
  • Contract administration or contracts management experience.
  • Experience with project accounting systems such as Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government contract funding requirements.
  • Experience developing executive-level financial dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage customer invoicing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Develop and maintain program budgets, financial forecasts, and long-range planning models.
  • Perform resource planning and workforce forecasting to align staffing with program requirements and future business needs.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including revenue, costs, labor utilization, and profitability.
  • Serve as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for assigned programs by tracking budgets, expenditures, and financial performance.
  • Analyze actual costs versus budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support Program Managers with financial reporting, project reviews, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition and project financial reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports for executive leadership.
  • Assist with project setup, funding tracking, and financial closeout activities.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and government contracting requirements.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, reporting tools, and program controls.
  • Support contract administration activities including contract modifications, funding tracking, deliverable schedules, and subcontract coordination.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with financial and operational requirements.
  • Assist with proposal pricing, cost volume development, and program startup activities.
