About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to help define/mature the corporate program control process. The person in this role will be responsible for supporting the financial management of our direct contracts, which requires an understanding of the full contract lifecycle. A Program Control Analyst supports the day-to-day contract financial requirements and will interact and collaborate with the Program Manager, as well as various departments such as Accounting, Contracts, Payroll, Pricing and Senior Leadership during the execution of a program to provide reporting, analysis, risk resolution and support on all financial aspects of a contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
  • 1 - 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, ideally in a Project/Program Control or financial role
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and financial modeling required
  • Experience with various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF)
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Program Managers through regular financial reviews to obtain current program information, discuss risks and opportunities, and maintain accurate budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly labor & non-labor forecasts while identifying funding risks and recommending corrective actions to the program manager.
  • Develop and maintain estimates at complete (EAC) and estimate to completion (ETC) for assigned programs
  • Analyze monthly program costs and revenue, monitor actual cost performance against plans/budgets, prepare variance analysis, reports and presentations to program managers
  • Monitor contract funding, track commitments, develop funding requirements projections and coordinate with contracts for required notifications on limitations and requests for additional funding as needed
  • Assist program managers with annual budget preparation for direct budgets
  • Establish program workforces in Costpoint and ensure charge codes are disseminated
  • Track and maintain cross-sector resource allocations to monitor staffing levels, forecast resource needs, identify gaps or constraints, and support program managers in optimizing resource utilization across multiple programs.
  • Determine the impact on direct programs for over/under applied indirect costs throughout the year to ensure adequate funding and maximization of revenues and profits
  • Partner with finance, operations, and other business groups to improve project/program/task reporting
  • Assist contract representative to ensure proper organization and understanding for the program/program/task financial contractual requirements
  • Assist with internal monthly management reporting
  • Assist with various ad-hoc requests in support of programs
