JSSA has an immediate opening for a Program and Consumer Support Specialist that will support two programs in their Mental Health Services department. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and business services which support the operations of a particular program and/or service. The Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) has been helping people across the Washington metropolitan area meet emotional, social, and physical challenges for more than 120 years. A nonsectarian provider, JSSA serves people of all religious backgrounds, races and ethnicities, helping the youngest child to the most fragile senior, from individuals to entire families. JSSA provides services and support to nearly 31,000 individuals a year through a wide range of counseling, educational, specialized employment, in-home support, hospice and nursing care, and social services. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2-3 years in a similar position
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented
  • Experience with an electronic health record system
  • Advanced level knowledge with MS Office (in particular, Outlook, Excel and Word), and aptitude to master other computer programs and reporting systems easily
  • Commitment to working in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on collaboration with colleagues and clients

Responsibilities

  • Utilize an electronic health record to accept and record payment; manage and schedule appointments; provide administrative demographic screening for individuals seeking services
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and contract requirements
  • Ensure effective and efficient engagement of individuals receiving services
  • Engage new providers into the network and complete the contracting process
  • Manage and prepare data to utilize in program reports
  • Provide operational support in accordance with demand of program and/or service model
