About The Position

CET is hiring a Program Consultant focusing on Waste Diversion. In this full-time role, you will work with businesses on generating reduction, reuse, composting, and recycling. As a Program Consultant, you will provide expertise, planning, and assistance to assigned waste diversion programs and initiatives. Applicants for this position must be located in Central/Eastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island. This position can be fully remote. However, if you are in or near Northampton, Massachusetts, you can also work from our co-working space at the Old School Commons.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience and written communications experience, or 3-4 years of customer service (phone, email) and written deliverable (writing newsletters, blogs, program outcome reporting) experience.
  • Excellent writing skills and can draft clear, well-organized, engaging written material for tip sheets, case studies, blog posts, and other web content.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with customers, clients, vendors, and coworkers on the phone, over email, in meetings, and at presentations and events.
  • Excel at using Microsoft Office. Experience using spreadsheets and other digital tools to track and report on data.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with multiple programs and deliverables in a collaborative environment.
  • High-speed internet access and a working location free from distractions and interference during business hours.
  • CET will provide you with a laptop and other office technology.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of waste-related field experience is preferred.
  • Experience in CRM platforms helpful, Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, or Chinese is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide waste management technical assistance and program information to customers and prospects over the phone and email.
  • Produce written content such as emails, newsletters, reports, web content, and/or presentations.
  • Assist with virtual and in-person events, such as planning logistics, hosting virtual meetings, recruiting speakers, collecting registrations, and networking.
  • Perform research on alternative outlets for waste materials.
  • Enter data into appropriate platforms to track customer interactions and results.
  • Generate regular client invoices and reports, compiling metrics and progress towards program deliverables.
  • Act as liaison with vendors, partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Some travel throughout Central/Eastern MA and RI to deliver in-person presentations.
