About The Position

This role works in our Early Intervention program working with children who have been diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability. The current opening is working with the school-age range, which includes students between ages 4-21 years old. The position covers Hesperia, Adelanto, Victorville, Apple Valley, and surrounding areas. The team is creative and dedicated to making a difference every day in the lives of the people we serve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required (Acceptable majors include Psychology, Sociology, Child/Human Development, etc.)
  • One year of work-related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injury, youth placed at-risk, etc. - We are primarily looking for candidates who have experience working with children and their parents/guardians for this specific role.
  • Valid CA Driver's license; also must have at least one year as a licensed driver (in any US state)
  • Reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and ability to exercise sound judgment and independently problem-solve.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to build rapport with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ABA and behavioral management and modification techniques is highly desired.
  • RBT certification a plus (we have CEU opportunities with BCBA on staff)
  • Flexible availability desired.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development, review, and implementation of services, case management, behavior intervention plans, and treatments provided to individuals served.
  • Oversee all services provided to individuals and their families, monitor quality of care delivered, ensure compliance with contractual terms, and monitor regulatory program compliance.
  • Assist in the development of quality services and engaging activities that meet the individual served needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with families and external case managers.
  • Use ABA and behavioral skills and knowledge to be an extra level of support to challenging cases and support the Early Intervention Specialists.
  • Provide supervision, training, and guidance to Early Intervention Specialists on special techniques and skills in working with parents and children.
