Program Chair - Nursing
About The Position
As a member of the academic leadership team at Herzing University, a student-centric, non-profit institution, you will report to the Director of Campus Operations. This role offers the opportunity to mentor and inspire experienced educators while overseeing a solid nursing program that successfully prepares students for robust careers. The position is based onsite at the Birmingham, AL campus. You will be responsible for supervising Faculty, Adjunct Faculty, and support staff, helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice in the nursing field. Our professional faculty engage tomorrow's nurses with intimate class sizes, up-to-date labs and simulation environments, and real-life clinical rotations.
Requirements
- Master's of Science in Nursing required
- Active, unencumbered registered nurse license for the state of Alabama
- At least three years experience as a registered nurse
- At least two years experience as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We do not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree preferred
- Experience with a practical nursing education program preferred
- Experience with programmatic accreditation is desired
