About The Position

Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region as a part-time Program Assistant and spend your afternoons helping kids learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment. This role is ideal for individuals studying education, psychology, social work, human development, or those who simply enjoy working with children. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience and make a positive impact in the community. Requirements

• Enjoy working with children and being a positive role model
• Bring positive energy and a team-first attitude
• Be dependable and ready to take initiative
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and emotional regulation when supporting youth experiencing behavioral challenges
• Can stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children (3+ months preferred)
• Experience leading or supervising groups
• An interest in Education, Child Psychology, Human Development, Social Work, or related fields
• Conversational Spanish skills

Responsibilities

• Lead fun games, activities, and enrichment programs
• Help students with homework and academic success
• Encourage positive behavior and build meaningful relationships
• Supervise groups of approximately 10-15 youth
• Assist with snacks and meal service
• Keep attendance records and communicate with teammates
• Help maintain a clean, welcoming Clubhouse
• Support special events, field trips, and Club activities
• Jump in wherever needed to help create an amazing experience for our members
