About The Position

Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region as a part-time Program Assistant and spend your afternoons helping kids learn, grow, and have fun in a safe, supportive environment. This role is ideal for individuals studying education, psychology, social work, human development, or those who simply enjoy working with children. Requirements

• Enjoy working with children and being a positive role model
• Bring positive energy and a team-first attitude
• Are dependable and ready to take initiative
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and emotional regulation when supporting youth experiencing behavioral challenges
• Can stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children (3+ months preferred)
• Experience leading or supervising groups
• An interest in Education, Child Psychology, Human Development, Social Work, or related fields
• Conversational Spanish skills

Responsibilities

• Lead fun games, activities, and enrichment programs
• Help students with homework and academic success
• Encourage positive behavior and build meaningful relationships
• Supervise groups of approximately 10-15 youth
• Assist with snacks and meal service
• Keep attendance records and communicate with teammates
• Help maintain a clean, welcoming Clubhouse
• Support special events, field trips, and Club activities
• Jump in wherever needed to help create an amazing experience for our members
