About The Position

The Program Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator and research team with collecting and entering research data, recruiting research participants, and performing organizational tasks for studies in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The position primarily supports studies focused on nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and other chronic liver diseases, including the study and development of treatments. The assistant will be directly involved in collecting and organizing critical research data.

Requirements

• High school diploma and three years of relevant program experience; a bachelor's degree may substitute for the required program experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a research assistant in gastroenterology and hepatology clinical trials.
• Screen subjects according to study protocols and coordinate patient visits.
• Enter electronic data capture (EDC) data, resolve queries, and maintain study documents.
• Prepare for and attend study monitoring and auditor visits required by sponsors, the FDA, or internal auditors; address follow-up tasks after receiving visit follow-up letters.
• Assist management and the study team with tasks, particularly data management across a research portfolio.
• Support study start-up, maintenance, and close-out by completing a variety of tasks.
• Recruit research study patients on an ongoing basis.
• Create monthly prescreening logs for each study and submit them to the sponsor.
