About The Position

Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC), a non-profit organization that supports families, caregivers, and patients affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions resulting in dementia, is seeking a full-time Program Assistant for its Specialized Day Center. The Program Assistant helps develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities for patients in the Specialized Alzheimer's Day Service Center and provides hands-on assistance with activities of daily living.

Requirements

• Hold a clear, active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or Home Health Aid (HHA) certification.
• Be able to work between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Pass an AHCA Level II criminal background screening and drug screening.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with patients with Alzheimer's disease or related neurocognitive disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and facilitating therapeutic activities for patients in the Specialized Alzheimer's Day Service Center.
• Provide hands-on assistance with patients' activities of daily living.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients at all times.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
