About The Position

The Program Assistant Supervisor works as an integral part of the Clinical Team. The Program Assistant Supervisor will perform, but is not limited to, the following duties: responsible for assisting the Program Director in all managerial and administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations, provide staff supervision, training, and administrative, and data oversight. This position may require a flexible schedule including 1st and 2nd shifts. The agency has the right to change shifts based on the needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university preferred or is a licensed (LADC)/certified (CADAC) drug counselor or is the process of obtaining licensure.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience providing services to those affected by substance use and mental health disorders and homelessness.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in leadership and management.
  • Requires CPR certification every two years.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, electronic health records and data collection.
  • Requires valid driver’s license due to business-related travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overall responsibility for the program operations including the supervision of assigned personnel.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of program staff scheduling including the development of facility coverage plan.
  • Assist with the supervision of program staff on case consultations of consumers.
  • Ensure that enrollees have access to all identified care team members during the enrollment process in order to provide a continuum of care.
  • Provide leadership and role modeling to CP staff through trainings, in-services and through direct work with teams and enrollees.
  • Ensure that CP services are culturally competent, strengths based, recovery based, focused on coordination and are inclusive of enrollee preferences.
  • Ensure that CP teams focus on developing interventions that embrace enrollee preferences, are evidence based and utilize cultural/community resources.
  • Ensure that CP team and services are focused on wellness, health outcomes, and strength-based interventions in order to assist enrollees in their goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor an individualized treatment/service plan with each assigned consumer using collaborative information from all sources to develop short and long term goals.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings with Coordinated Care Network lead agency.
  • Meet, collaborate and coordinate services with probation/parole, employment and educational agencies, Department of Children and Families (DCF), human services providers, medical and primary care, clinical mental/behavioral health, and family/social support.
  • Ability to count, document and observe consumers taking various prescription drugs.
  • Ability to climb three flights of stairs to conduct rounds on an hourly basis and deal with emergencies.
  • Complete all required paperwork including monthly statistical data of case contacts, pre-authorizations, billing as required.
  • Perform program recordkeeping and filing, and organize vital documents.
  • Provide telephone coverage for the assigned program and direct calls to other programs as needed.
  • Participate in required supervisions, staff meetings and trainings.
  • Participate and cooperate in any investigations conducted by internal and external agencies.
  • Ability to use a computer including inputting information into data systems.
  • Remain awake during your shift at all times.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings and update all licenses and certifications.
  • Adhere to program/project/department requirements and services.
  • Comply with the established protocol for medication management/distribution.
  • Follow all reporting guidelines by deadlines including the completion of a Confidential Incident Report.
