About The Position

Via Mobility Services is seeking a Program Assistant Manager to coordinate and supervise activities for HOP, Boulder Paratransit, and Special Contract services. This role involves scheduling staff, coordinating time-off requests, participating in hiring, and ensuring smooth field operations by providing ongoing coaching and problem-solving with Drivers. The Program Assistant Manager will work closely with the Boulder Program Manager. This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, though hours may vary and include weekends or day shifts. Via Mobility Services is a nonprofit organization focused on providing mobility and transportation options to enhance the quality of life, self-sufficiency, and community access for seniors and people with disabilities. Requirements

  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisor experience required.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft and Google (Int-expert level).
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices and procedures.
  • Dependable with a strong attendance record.
  • Good attention to detail, problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, follow-through and understanding of confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with other employees and the public.
  • Knowledge of the geographic and demographic service area.
  • Must pass and maintain DOT physical, random drug testing, and ongoing Motor Vehicle Records checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Education supplemented by specialized training in the transit industry and related transit experience.
  • Strongly prefer experience with managing a high volume of employees.
  • Experience in the hiring of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise activities for HOP, Boulder Paratransit, and Special Contract services.
  • Schedule staff for daily/weekly routes.
  • Coordinate vacation and sick time requests.
  • Play an active role in hiring staff.
  • Ensure smooth operations in the field.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and problem-solving with Drivers.
  • Work closely with the Boulder Program Manager.
