We are looking for an experienced Program Analyst – IT Technician to provide network and IT support within a Government Program Office at a variety of security levels. The position is located at our government customer site in Patuxent River, MD. The position is required to be onsite and hold an active Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience supporting IT, Network, and Electrical Architecture and Infrastructure.
  • Must possess an advanced understanding of networking protocols & procedures.
  • Must possess advanced understanding of Microsoft OS & applications, including server applications, i.e. exchange in a production environment.
  • Must have extensive experience with hardware/software troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and determine priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent people skills; communication and familiarity with a customer support environment.
  • The position requires an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt IT and facility infrastructure design, support, and assistance with a variety of day-to-day tasks to support the IT team with security, design, maintenance, and documentation of multiple networks.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs to network equipment.
  • Assist in the development of stand-alone or networked computer systems.
  • Assess hardware and software compatibility, perform upgrades, and implement on the respective systems.
  • Systems include server hardware, server software, firewalls, routers, network switches, VPN devices, cabling (Ethernet and fiber optics), wireless routers, and other related network systems.
  • Perform configuration management of network, hardware, and software configurations.
  • Collaborates with management staff to troubleshoot and establish a plan for resolution.
  • Ensures all network systems are functioning and communicating properly.
  • Performs regular inventories of existing IT equipment & reports any discrepancies to IT.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to other IT Technicians as needed.
