About The Position

Goldbelt Professional Services specializes in providing expert resources for Public Health missions, including scientific, technical, and administrative support. This role is for a responsible and professional Program Analyst to support a contract client, focusing on maintaining and optimizing response leadership’s calendar through advanced planning and scheduling. The position involves handling conferences, teleconferences, and correspondences, and efficiently coordinating multiple calendars. The Program Analyst will also be responsible for researching, preparing, organizing, and tracking meetings and presentations, obtaining meeting notes, and performing other public health-related tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency response environment. Occasional work during evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required to ensure continuous coverage for leadership and operational processes.

  • Proficiency in using office software and tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and other relevant platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent education; 2+ years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Master’s degree in public health or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in relevant work or related area.
  • Previous experience with federal government agencies; preferably with CDC.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring optimal technical assistance and communication related to CDC emergency preparedness and response efforts.
  • Apply business acumen when assisting emergency response representatives draft and disseminate mass emails to jurisdictions and federal partners.
  • Assist operations staff in monitoring functional email box; notify respective staff of corresponding actions needed.
  • Maintain database for tracking resources such as guidance documents, checklists, and health advisories; establish document control measures and file information for use during future emergency responses.
  • Manage multiple calendars including team calendars, schedule internal and external meetings in accordance with program needs.
  • Lead data call efforts; collate and submit information to program and task force leadership within the designated timeframe.
  • Enter and extract data from Salesforce in forms useful for program monitoring and decision-making.
  • Use computer software to create spreadsheets, manage databases, and assist in preparing or editing presentations.
  • Populate daily or weekly progress reports and other project/program management tools for use by program and task force leadership.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, take meeting minutes, maintain a filing system, disseminate meeting summaries, and assist with tracking action items.
  • Provide support to Health Department Liaison Officers (HDLNOs) during times of competing programmatic interests and time-sensitive deliverable/action items.
  • As needed, support HDLNOs by maintaining awareness of current and emerging public health threats (e.g. by conducting environmental scans of news media and public health department websites).
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by leadership and/or task leads, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to organizational priorities.
