About The Position

The primary purpose of the Program Analyst I position is to serve as the Clinical Informatics Specialist for Cherry Hospital. The Clinical Informatics Specialist analyzes complex clinical, operational, and technology-related workflows and uses that analysis to recommend, design, implement, and evaluate system improvements that affect hospital-wide operations, provides independent consultation, technical assistance, and program/project administration for the Electronic Health Record (EPIC). The position will provide consultation to internal and external stakeholders to support the integration of patient care processes, regulatory requirements, and EHR workflows to optimize documentation practices, improve efficiency, enhance patient safety, and support quality care within the hospital environment. This position provides ongoing education, consultation, and at-the-elbow support to clinical and administrative staff during system updates, workflow changes, onboarding, and optimization efforts, and will have a strong focus on operational processes in the EHR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to interpret policy and procedure, regulations, software, applications, and operate hardware for the hospital’s EHR use.
