The Clinical Informatics Specialist is a clinically experienced healthcare professional with expertise in both patient care and healthcare technology. Serving as a key liaison between clinical operations and Information Services, this role leverages clinical, information, and computer sciences to optimize electronic health records (EHRs), streamline workflows, and improve patient outcomes across UHS and the communities we serve. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, the Clinical Informatics Specialist leads and supports clinical informatics initiatives through assessment, planning, implementation, training, evaluation, and continuous optimization. This individual identifies opportunities to enhance clinical workflows, translates operational needs into technology solutions, and partners with EHR teams to design, test, and implement system improvements. Reporting to the Director of Informatics, this role provides a strong clinical perspective on enterprise technology projects, system upgrades, device integrations, and patient care innovations, helping drive quality, safety, and excellence in healthcare delivery.
