About The Position

Responsible for providing assistance to Program Leaders in working with elementary school-age children in an unstructured environment. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

This substitute position is based at Stone Mountain Elementary. It is scheduled for 0 hours per week and 0 work days per year. The role is paid at $16.13 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting.

Responsibilities

• Implement program activities that provide children with opportunities to learn and develop skills, explore interests, experience self-worth and belonging, and contribute to the community.
• Build healthy relationships with children by actively engaging with them, relating to them positively, and responding to their unique needs and interests.
• Ensure children’s safety by providing sufficient and appropriate supervision and guidance at all times.
• Use positive techniques to support and guide behavior and promote respectful and cooperative interactions among children.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Develop and promote good community relations among community members and school clientele.
