About The Position

The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Shermans Dale, PA is seeking to hire a full-time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role supports individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed, meaningful lives and thrives as part of a dedicated and motivated team. It is a human services career where you can really make a difference. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) earn a competitive wage of $17.12/hour plus an additional $1/hour shift differential. You would also be eligible for our generous benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time staff at NO COST for the employee-only coverage. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible.
  • Assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more.
  • Build strong relationships while learning individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes to provide the best care.
  • Support people with disabilities to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires.
