About The Position

The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties in Carlisle, PA is seeking to hire a part time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) earn a competitive wage of $17.12/hour plus an additional $1/hour shift differential. Our passionate team members also enjoy 60 hours of paid vacation during the first year of employment, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability. Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle during working hours
Punctual and reliable
Ability to keep track of multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

Support people with disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible.
Assist with activities of daily living such as household maintenance, transportation, administration of medications, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and more.
Build strong relationships while learning individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, likes, and dislikes.
Provide the best care based on individual needs and desires.
