About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of OFIFC programs through Friendship Centre supports, program planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The position involves developing provincial program resources and tools for Friendship Centres, participating in the design and development of Indigenous-led, culture-based programs, and providing support and analysis related to Friendship Centre programs.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Social Science, Community Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Over 3, up to and including 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis.
  • Experience working within an Indigenous community.
  • Understanding of Indigenous culture.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative data.
  • Knowledge of database systems.
  • Proven ability in program design and development with strong knowledge of Indigenous culture-based programming.

Responsibilities

  • Build effective working relationships with Friendship Centre staff, management, and Executive Directors.
  • Deliver program orientation and ongoing support to Friendship Centre staff, ensuring programs align with goals, objectives, and standards.
  • Ensure program materials and resources reflect provincial performance standards.
  • Deliver orientation and user training on the OFIFC’s integrated database system.
  • Provide program information, advice, and expertise to Friendship Centres.
  • Conduct field visits to provide direct support and gather information from Friendship Centres.
  • Analyze Friendship Centre program data and produce written analysis.
  • Identify Friendship Centre needs, gaps, priorities, and challenges, and communicate this information to other areas within OFIFC.
  • Support the development of measures, analysis, and evaluation of OFIFC program effectiveness to demonstrate outcomes and impacts.
  • Monitor and review program activity to ensure data quality assurance, effective budget management, and reporting compliance.
  • Prepare written reports, briefing materials, and presentations for internal and external audiences, including issue analysis, recommendations, and risk assessments.
