About The Position

The purpose of the Program Administrator is to perform direct and indirect supervisory functions and organize and directs the development, planning, implementation, and monitoring of various client service programs.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years’ experience with Public Assistance programs, including, but not limited to: Publicly Funded Childcare Medicaid OWF/TANF SNAP WIOA CCEMP RESEA PRC SNAP E&T Fraud
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices, interviewing, personnel practices, training and development principles, laws, rules and regulations concerning the program, office practices and procedures, and program planning and development.
  • Skills in written and oral communication, organization, and supervising.
  • Ability to extract information from various sources, work with others, maintain accurate records, supervise others, complete documents and forms, advise, and provide guidance to others, develop corrective action plans, monitor program cases, and assign work to others.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and assigns work to division supervisors.
  • Organizes and directs the development, planning and implementation of the various services within the division’s programs, complying with State, Federal and Local laws and regulations.
  • Implements procedures for carrying out rules, assists in policy development for programs.
  • Reviews cases and ensures compliance with State, Federal and Local law.
  • Oversees the negotiation of and reviews the financial contracts/memorandum of understanding.
  • Conducts monthly staff meetings with Supervisors.
  • Meets regarding disciplinary actions, evaluations, and training of staff.
  • Performs public relations functions, including development of resources to inform and educate the public concerning agency services.
  • Presents information to community groups.
  • Represents the agency with State partners, and in the community.
  • Prepares reports, keep statistics, prepares business letters.
  • Interviews applicants and makes recommendations for hiring of new employees.
  • Attends seminars, meetings, and trainings.
