About The Position
The Twin Lakes YMCA in Cedar Park, TX is hiring a Sports Program Administrator for our youth sports department . Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and dependable. A background in coaching is preferred, but not necessary. Candidates must enjoy working with children and have a positive attitude! Must be available to work weekends (Friday evening and Saturdays) when sports leagues are in-season.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with program development and implementation
- Must hold a high school diploma or GED
- CPR/AED and First Aid certified or willing to be certified within first 30 days of employment
- Be willing to uphold the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal history check and sex offender registry check, and reference checks
Nice To Haves
- A background in coaching is preferred, but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary contact/respondent for related emails and voicemails
- Assist with program registration forms, rosters, updating scores in tracking system, and provide weekly program registration reports
- Assist with distribution of supplies, uniforms, equipment, etc.
- Assist with recruiting and tracking of volunteer coaches and coaching applications
- Assist with staff scheduling
- Assist with staff recruitment and interview scheduling
- Assist with staff training
- Assist with Specialty Camps as needed
- Support coaches and staff during sports programming
- Set up facilities and ensure that the sports site is safe and clean
