About The Position

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is seeking an energetic and passionate individual to serve as a Program Administrator 2 within the Division of Forestry. This role will be headquartered at Fountain Square in Columbus, Ohio, and will be responsible for providing direction and performing administrative duties for the Division of Forestry's Grant program. The position involves formulating and implementing program policy, procedures, and contracts, administering the grant program, serving as a liaison, and providing technical advice for program decision-making. Additionally, the role includes administering procurement and associated duties. The starting hourly pay is $33.32, with multiple pay increases over the first 6.5 years, reaching an end salary of $47.47 per hour. Cost of living adjustments (COLA) may also be applied, and longevity pay supplements begin after five years of state service.

Requirements

  • 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position
  • Completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development
  • 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
