About The Position

Manages the daily administrative operations of Day Hospitals and IOPs at Towson and Baltimore Washington campuses. Supervises all office support staff. Develops and administers consistent office support procedures, workflow, and admission and billing procedures and practices. Assists Director in a number of reviews, including efforts to reduce bad debt, to assure that record keeping complies with licensing, regulatory and accreditation agencies, to improve workflow and communication with referring units, and similar projects. Assures prompt research and resolution of problems and complaints. Monitors billing documentation, co-pay collection, and other critical statistics.

Requirements

  • AA degree and 3-5 years’ relevant experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years’ relevant experience, OR high school education and 5-7 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience in office management and program administration skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to compose correspondence and prepare clear, meaningful reports.
  • Knowledge of third-party insurance providers, policies, benefits and procedures.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software.
  • Analytical skills sufficient to identify, investigate, and resolve administrative problems dealing with systems, practices, and personnel and to develop/revise forms and processes to improve and facilitate the quality, efficiency and billing associated with patient services.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to supervise multiple program support staff, train employees regarding billing and administrative office procedures, and to communicate effectively with the patients, families, Sheppard Pratt staff, referral sources, and third-party payers.
