About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is a large, privately-held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, Hajoca operates on principles of "Service, Integrity, Reliability." The company functions in a decentralized environment where each location, known as a Profit Center (PC), is managed as an independent business. A typical PC includes a warehouse, counter, sales office, and sometimes a showroom, operating under unique trade names and offering customized business approaches. Hughes Supply, a trade name of Hajoca, is seeking a Profit Center Manager for its Hudson, FL location. This role requires a strong work ethic, integrity, leadership skills, and business judgment to drive profits, expand market share, and identify new markets.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of sales and service experience
1+ year of leadership experience
Able to drive for company business
At least 18 years old
Possess a proper and valid driver’s license
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver
Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used for business operations
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and lead all business operations at the Profit Center, ensuring consistent profitability.
Achieve sales, gross profit, market share, and profit sharing goals through team recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management.
Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates, conducting regular performance evaluations.
Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals, and hold salespeople accountable.
Achieve upper quartile performance in key indicators: Gross Profit %, Net Salaries Ratio, Occupancy Ratio, Return on Investment, Gross Profit per Employee, and Profit Sharing per Employee.
Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage expenses and assets.
Ensure the Profit Center meets or exceeds customer service expectations.
Build community relationships to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets, including buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
Successfully complete assigned safety and compliance training programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
