About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is a large, privately-held wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. The company operates in a decentralized environment where each location, called a Profit Center (PC), is run by a Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. Dahl Albuquerque is seeking a Profit Center Manager for their Albuquerque, NM location. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and leading all business operations at the Profit Center, with accountability for sustaining consistent profitability. The manager will achieve sales, gross profit, market share, and profit sharing goals by recruiting, developing, training, coaching, evaluating, and managing the Profit Center team. Key performance indicators include Gross Profit %, Net Salaries Ratio, Occupancy Ratio, Return on Investment, Gross Profit per Employee, and Profit Sharing per Employee. The role involves analyzing financial reports, implementing strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage expenses and assets. Ensuring excellent customer service, building community relationships, and maintaining a safe working environment are also crucial. The manager must conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures, safeguard Profit Center assets, and complete required training.

Requirements

College degree or equivalent industry experience
5+ years of sales and service experience
1+ year of leadership experience
Able to drive for company business.
Be at least 18 years old.
Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain appointments and customer and vendor contact files, and to analyze performance data.
Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used for business operations.
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and lead all business operations at the Profit Center.
Achieve sales, gross profit, market share, and profit sharing goals through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management of the Profit Center team.
Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess progress and provide feedback and development.
Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals for those accounts, and hold salespeople accountable for achieving those goals.
Achieve upper quartile performance in key indicators – Gross Profit %, Net Salaries Ratio, Occupancy Ratio, Return on Investment, Gross Profit per Employee, and Profit Sharing per Employee.
Analyze available financial reports and information, implementing appropriate strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage expenses and assets.
Ensure the Profit Center meets or exceeds customer service expectations.
Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
Conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
Maintain and insist upon a safe working environment in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets – buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
