About The Position

As a Profiling Lab Operations Associate at Nomic, you will perform high-throughput multiplex immunoassays to quantify hundreds to thousands of disease-relevant protein biomarkers in cell culture supernatants and human-derived biological specimens from our clients using our proprietary nELISA technology. You will be an integral part of our mission to enable scientists to accelerate drug discovery and improve human health. This role involves extensive hands-on laboratory work and requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality data. We're growing the team throughout the remainder of the year, so we'll be hiring multiple people for this role. The posting may stay open for an extended period, with multiple start dates available over the coming months.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a GLP-certified laboratory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a BSL-2 laboratory.
  • Minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience with flow cytometry.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous work ethic, strong organizational skills in a laboratory setting, and high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfortable following digital protocols.
  • Candidates must be available to work a regular workday scheduled within the 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM time window, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work.
  • Fluency in English is required as our customers and vendors are primarily located in the USA. In addition, this position will interact with our team members within our USA entity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated liquid handlers is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process cell culture supernatants and human biological specimens (e.g., plasma, serum, CSF, saliva, and urine) through our high-throughput workflows, including sample preparation, assay washing, and flow cytometry-based readout.
  • Work in BSL-1 and BSL-2 laboratory environments while following established biosafety procedures.
  • Prepare assay reagents, consumables, and other materials required for daily operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, including plate washers, liquid handlers, flow cytometers, and centrifuges.
  • Record and manage laboratory information using our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Support the manufacturing of critical assay reagents.
  • Perform routine laboratory operational tasks, including completing assay batch records, conducting inventory cycle counts, aliquoting reagents, restocking consumables, and cleaning laboratory glassware and equipment.
