This is a 1-year termed full-time faculty position beginning in July 2026 with a 30-credit hour (170-day contract) teaching load annually. The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of Bridge courses, including English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), High School Equivalency (HSE), Adult High School Diploma (AHSD), and English for Academic Purposes (EAP), along with related transition/pathway courses. The role emphasizes student access, retention, persistence, and successful progression through Bridge programs, while also strengthening connections to college, career, and community pathways. This position will also support the development of career-connected Bridge courses based on local workforce needs. The role may involve teaching at night, on weekends, online, and at multiple campus locations. Faculty are expected to teach their assigned course load, evaluate courses, assess student learning, meet outcomes, comply with guidelines, maintain office hours, develop rapport with students, and assist with advising, orientation, and registration. CMC Faculty are also expected to engage in scholarly endeavors and service activities such as committee work, project participation, peer mentoring, assessment activities, program review, student organizations, and recruiting/retention efforts.
