About The Position
The Department of Pathology at the University of Louisville is seeking a full-time academic Surgical Pathologist to join their growing team. This position offers flexibility in scheduling (0.8 to 1.0 FTE) and potential leadership opportunities. The role involves promoting the academic mission through scholarly activities and participating in medical education. Candidates with fellowship training or a strong interest in a specialty area are sought, with priority given to those with expertise in medical renal, thoracic/lung, gynecologic, head and neck, bone & soft tissue, cytopathology, or dermatopathology. Prior academic experience, educational achievements, and publications are desirable. The department is a leader in digital pathology and AI, with a fully digital clinical workflow allowing remote access. UofL Health is an integrated regional academic health system.
Requirements
- Board certified in anatomic or combined anatomic and clinical pathology.
- Qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Fellowship training or a strong and proven interest in one or more specialty areas.
Nice To Haves
- Expertise/training in medical renal, thoracic/lung, gynecologic, head and neck, bone & soft tissue, cytopathology, dermatopathology.
- Prior work experience in an academic setting.
- A track record of educational achievements.
- Publications demonstrating clinical and scientific accomplishments.
