The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a senior faculty member focused on industry-relevant research and teaching in reaction and/or separation processes and technologies at scale. Research involving related machine-learning and computational approaches, as well as modern high-throughput experimentation platforms, is also welcomed. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who builds collaborative teams across academia and industry and advances translational research using the University’s recent multi-million-dollar pilot-scale investments at the Process Science and Technology Center. The appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor level, with tenure considered based on qualifications. The successful candidate will mentor graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate students, sustain a vibrant externally sponsored research program, collaborate with faculty from a wide range of backgrounds, and contribute service to the University and profession. The department is committed to building a welcoming community and addressing faculty family needs, including those of dual-career couples and single parents. The anticipated start is Fall 2027.
