The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of South Florida (USF) is seeking a Professor of Instruction. The department has 30 full-time faculty members and offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, along with a minor in Aerospace Engineering. Faculty collaborate across various colleges within USF and maintain strong ties with numerous research centers, including those focused on nanotechnology, transportation, rehabilitation robotics, and clean energy. The College of Engineering, established in 1964 and led by Dean Levi Thompson, is highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report and serves over 3,500 students with ABET-accredited bachelor's programs and advanced degrees. The college is actively involved in research with significant expenditures and focuses on sustainability, biomedical engineering, computing technology, and transportation. USF itself is a top-ranked research university with a large student body, multiple campuses, and a strong national and international reputation, recognized for its value and research funding.
