About The Position

The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA) in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University invites applications for a tenured position at the rank of Professor. The position includes an endowed chair for a distinguished candidate with an exceptional record of research excellence and leadership in Information Systems and Business Analytics. The position holder will demonstrate the ability to maintain an active, high-quality research program that contributes to leading journals in MIS and related fields, demonstrate effectiveness in teaching, provide leadership in advancing the department's research and academic reputation, and fulfill normal service expectations. The position holder will conduct high-impact scholarly research suitable for publication in leading MIS journals such as Information Systems Research, Management Information Systems Quarterly, and The Journal of Management Information Systems. The holder will also be expected to contribute to mentoring Ph.D. students, and teaching ISBA-related courses at the Ph.D. level, as well as undergraduate or Master's levels. In addition, the position holder is expected to play a key role in advancing the department's research reputation through collaboration, mentorship, and leadership, helping to further enhance the department's national and international standing in ISBA research and education. The appointment also carries the expectation of typical institutional and professional service for the rank of Professor.

Requirements

Ph.D. in MIS or a closely related field
An outstanding record of scholarship, eligible for a tenured position at Iowa State University
An established and active record of publishing research in top-tier IS journals such as Information Systems Research, Management Information Systems Quarterly, and The Journal of Management Information Systems.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
